New Site Features

We are happy to bring you a completely revamped web site for SLO area climbers. In our opinion, the new site is far superior to the old one. Here's the significant improvements you will notice.

Discussion forums! A message board where messages are threaded by topic, instead of one long chronological list as on the old site. You can even read the old Features and comments, finally organized in a sane manner.
User Registration. Site visitors must now register before they can post comments or forum topics. Old users are automatically registered. User accounts are password protected so no one accidentally posts as someone else. Guest visitors can browse the site but not contribute.

~~Write Privacy Policy.~~ (Done 3/12).
~~Site Vision statement.What happened to old site explanation.~~ (Done 2/24).
~~Access Issue for forum: Cerro Romauldo closure.~~ (Done 3/12).
Move some old features to History section.
Change "Title" to "Route Name" in route submit form.
Change icon in address bar.
~~Create a Route/Crag Index page.~~ (Done 2/24).
Provide anonymous feedback channel to site admin.
"Recent Posts" of a new comment will show the original post, not the comment.

Welcome to ClimbingSLO.org, the all-new online home of San Luis Obispo area rock climbers.

Here you can meet the climbers of SLO, discuss routes and tell stories about local climbs, find a partner, learn a bit of local climbing history, enjoy action photos, or browse the online Guidebook for a new route to climb. We also have opinion polls, climbing news from Google, real-time chatbox, and even more soon to come.
