Only a single stem remains alive among a cluster of dead limbs of this sticky monkey flower (?) at the base of P-Wall pinnacle. This was once a mature, healthy four foot bush. Apparently someone decided it was in their way despite that there is an easy scramble to the left that avoids this bush completely.

This view shows the base of "Happy Birthday". The branch above is flagged
where numerous branches were trimmed away. A large swatch of rock has
been scraped completely clean of moss. This was a previously
pristine natural area with no climber activity. (Summer 2004)
